Every year hundreds of foreign students come to Ukraine to get higher education, to learn a new profession, to receive new experience. And 2015-2016 academic year was no exception: about two hundred young people from Morocco and Palestine, Guinea and Côte d'Ivoire, Iran, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, China and many other countries have become students of the preparatory department of Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University. 

Some of them feel quite confident in our city and in our university, because they have been studying for two or three months already. Others - students from the latest groups - are just beginning to work in the difficult field of studying Russian and Ukrainian, which are considered to be among the most difficult languages in the world. But at the beginning of winter, on December, the 3rd, they took an active part in their first on the territory of Ukraine (and for many, no doubt, the first in their very life) public event. Because on this day the Faculty of Philology (at the Department of foreign citizens training) traditionally held a lesson-concert "Let's meet each other-2015".

As the pro-rector on scientific and pedagogical work and international relations of the University, Professor G.I.Tohtar noted in his welcoming speech, to see so many keen and inspired young people – whether in the assembly hall or in a student's classroom – is a great pleasure for teachers. And the main thing now is not to lose this enthusiasm and zeal for each lesson and each homework, to study with no less inspiration than that one the students were singing merry songs during class concert. 

New foreign students of KHNAHU are ready to march into the future with an optimistic smile. And let their way be light, let their contribution to the life of the university be worthy and let their diploma be only with straight As!
