On October, 12-13,  2017, XII  Annual International scientific and practical conference "Problems and prospects of language training of foreign students" was held at the preparatory faculty for foreign citizens at Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University. The conference was founded and held by the joint efforts of Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University,  Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazin, Kazakh National University  Al- Farabi and the Texas University (Texas A & M University - Commerce, USA).

The reports and master0classes of the conference participants were presented in the following sections:

Section 1. Theoretical and applied aspects of the linguistic science and methodology of the Ukrainian and Russian languages as foreign.

Section 2. Contemporary educational process: traditional and innovative technologies, algorithms and methods for teaching foreign students.

Section 3. Psychological-pedagogical bases of the organization of the educational process: questions of adaptation and integration of foreign students into the educational space of the university.

Section 4. Teaching of humanities and natural sciences in special language.

The reports of the participants of the conference were devoted to the actual problems of lingual-didactical and teaching methods of Ukrainian and Russian as foreign languages, the use of traditional and innovative technologies, techniques and algorithms for the development of communicative and discursive competences of foreign students. Issues of oral and written communication, intercultural communication and socio-psychological adaptation, as well as modern methods of teaching humanities and natural sciences in a non-spoken language were discussed.

215 high school lecturers from Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Poland, Bulgaria, and Israel became the participants of the conference. At the end of the conference a book of proceedings was published, which included 167 scientific theses and reports.

The XII International scientific-practical conference "Problems and perspectives of language training of foreign students" at the Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University was held at a high professional level.
